Healthy Recipe: Paprika Dry Chickpeas

Hi everyone!

I get a lot of requests for recipes, so I’ve decided to share some of my favourite recipes with all of you. These are healthy and easy to make. I love going for fresh herbs and spices in place of garam masalas and other different masalas. The flavour and aroma you get from these spices and herbs is what I really enjoy and of course – these are also good for health.

Here is my ‘Paprika Dry Chickpeas Recipe’ – I usually enjoy this with lightly sautéed prawns or fish. You can pair it with anything actually!

Ingredients
2 cups boiled chickpeas
2 tablespoons ginger and garlic paste
1 large chopped onion
2 bay leaves
3 dry red chilli
1 cinnamon stick
6 cloves of fresh garlic
4 green cardamom
2 chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons of organic desi ghee
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder
Pink Himalayan salt to taste

Preparation

Fry the spices in ghee for 5-7 minutes; the cardamom, cinnamon, red chilli and bay leaves. Add onion and cook until brown. Add the ginger and garlic paste and when they turn golden brown, add the tomatoes and cook a little, mixing in turmeric, paprika powder and chilli powder. Mix the entire thing well and then add the chickpeas! Stir together for 15 minutes on low fire and add salt according to taste. Enjoy!
