Stock up on These Summer Essentials

I live between two homes in two countries – India and UK, which means I end up buying skincare products from both places. There is so much out there, and honestly, it can get very confusing for even someone like me.

So I have penned down a list of skincare products I am using currently. All of these have high-quality, potent ingredients. All the products, barring the iS clinical range are available in India.

Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel

I’ve always been a fan of Bioderma products. I am using this one for the first time. It is light and gentle, and it cleans well; good for daily, frequent use. This one’s perfect for oily skin type.

iS Clinical Super Serum Advance +

This is for day use; apply before you moisturise. It is a potent pharmaceutical brand serum that contains the highest-grade ingredients. Daily application of this serum heals and protects the skin from sun damage and pollution. Since the key ingredient is time released l-ascorbic acid (vitamin c), it also helps reduce pigmentation, brighten skin and boost collagen production.

Clinique iD Dramatically Different Oil Control Gel + Active Cartridge for Fatigue

This is my day moisturiser for this summer. It’s a fabulous custom blend moisturiser. It’s allergy-tested, 100% fragrance-free and dermatologist tested. This keeps my skin hydrated, feeling light and fresh all day, also reduces any signs of fatigue; for oily skin type. Do check out their other custom blends for various skin concerns.

Heliocare 360, Gel Oil-Free Sunscreen

This product contains antioxidants, is paraben free; excellent for oily, acne-prone skin. It provides broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. I apply a generous amount in the day after I moisturize my face. You must apply a sunscreen every single day, even when it is cloudy or when you’re indoors.

iS Clinical Active Serum

This is my night serum. I apply it every alternate night. It is good for reducing pigmentation, refining pores, redness and fine lines, and keeps my skin firm and supple. The key ingredients – salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, along with hydrating herbal extracts. Since it is a strong one, you might get a tingling sensation in the skin. You only need a few drops. It is also free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates; suitable for all skin types, except sensitive skin.

iS Clinical Youth Intensive Crème

I used this throughout winters too. This rich and highly nourishing cream is full of antioxidants and nutrients that reduce fine lines, plump and hydrate skin. It also boosts collagen production and keeps your skin smooth and firm. This works well with iS Clinical Active Serum as the serum is acid-based. I apply a pea size amount for the entire face and neck.

Filorga Optim Eyes

I have been using this eye cream for over 2 months now. It is quite effective as it decongests the eye contour area, smoothens fine lines and wrinkles, and reduces dark circles and puffiness. It keeps your eye area looking fresh and supple.

FCL Penta Peel Pads

Use this amazing exfoliating treatment thrice a week to remove dead skin cells, brighten, refine and smoothen the skin. Use a single pad all over your face and neck gently in circular motion (avoid eyes and lips), leave it on for 3-5 min, and rinse with cool water. You can then apply the serum, moisturiser and sunblock.

Avene Thermal Spring Water

A French pharmacy brand, this face mist is so pure and gentle. I spray it at least 2-3 times a day to keep my skin hydrated all day long. You can apply this one on sunburns, skin allergies, and even before makeup to hydrate dry skin, post-procedures and to set makeup. It can be a travel essential for beach holidays.
