Dry Shampoos

Dry Shampoos

Guys, I don’t know about you…but my secret to keeping my hair looking good, even when I haven’t washed it, is a wonderful little miracle in a can – Dry Shampoo! I have tried so many and sometimes my hair ends up feeling cakey or dry. So, here are tried and tested products – let me know if you’ve used them too!

IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo.

This is what I’m using and loving these days. Honestly the best dry shampoo I’ve ever tried! I love the subtle fragrance, and a little goes a long way…best of all, it makes my scalp feel so clean. The key ingredients include charcoal powder and white tea powder which help detox your scalp by absorbing all the excess oil and dirt, they also help soothe the scalp. Just shake well, section your hair and spray. I usually wait for around 30 seconds for the powder to activate and to feel the cooling, cleansing effects. I then massage and shake up my roots with fingertips to remove the excess powder. You can also apply it at bedtime for oil absorption while you sleep. I bought mine from Space NK in the UK.

TABITHA JAMES KRAAN -Organic Dry Shampoo (dark hair)

I came across this one sometime back at a pharmacy close to where I live and decided to pick it up because the ingredients in it are so fab! It’s 100% natural, comes in powder form and has a lemony-lavender fragrance. It definitely gave me volume but in certain areas, it also felt a bit grainy – making me want to brush it off completely. If I’m completely honest, it didn’t make my scalp feel clean. For all you green beauty lovers -try it out but don’t expect amazing results.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO

This one has been in the market for so long. It’s vegan and cruelty-free which is great. A few quick sprays instantly add volume and texture to your hair. My hair feels clean and fresh every time I’ve gone for this one. It’s not a natural product but it works well and is easily available everywhere.
