5 Rocking Morning Habits
How you start your morning sets the tone for rest of the day. Believe me, your mornings can affect your mood and efficacy level through the day. So, start your day right. It’s simple. If you start well, you end well.
For most of us, our morning routines haven’t changed since years, and we usually dislike any diversion. However, with some practice, our brains can develop new routines to rely on.
If you wish to be at your top form each day, try adding these activities to your daily morning routine.
1. Sleep well . Rise early.
Remember, your morning routine actually starts the night before. Sleeping habits determine how you feel when you wake up. Don’t deprive yourself of a good sleep. Rest up enough. With that, go to bed on time to wake up early.
2. Don’t ditch your exercise regimen
I won’t ditch my morning workout for anything. For me my intense workout, 5 days a week works amazingly well. Self motivate yourself- Promise yourself to do it with honesty. A good exercise regimen works as an all – rounder, whether it is wishing away the morning blues or setting your body up for an all-day fat burn.
Popular American TV Show producer, Shonda Rhimes said in an interview that she has a “dance party with Beyoncé” to get her started for the day!
3. Feast on a healthy breakfast
You’ve probably heard this a zillion times, but the importance of a nutrient- rich breakfast is a lot more than you think.
I always start my morning with hot lemon water followed by super green powder like spirulina! Just a teaspoon of this blue green algae mixed in little water gives me instant burst of energy as it’s loaded with antioxidants, B vitamins, omegas and protein.
Your daily breakfast should definitely have these three – protein, fiber and healthy fats. Whole grains, fruit, and slow-release carbohydrates like oatmeal, are all good options I always go for.
When I’m running short of time I just go for a blend of protein rich, healthy fat smoothie with a small portion of fruit thrown into it. A blend which keeps me full for long.
4. Get your to-dos in line
Prioritise at the start itself. This will stave off any anxiety of under-delivering on your tasks.
5. Deep breathe
Close your eyes- Flush out the clutter in the mind, Get yourself to focus on your intentions for the day and just breathe! 10 to 15 mins, that’s it..it works beautifully.
So, begin tomorrow with a pep in your step. Tell me how these tips worked for you.
