For beautiful kohl lined eyes

For beautiful kohl lined eyes

If you were to ask me for just one, must have, indispensable beauty product, I would have to say kajal. While its popularity with women of all ages and ethnicities across the world is growing, I think we Indian women look incomplete without it. It is the only cosmetic I apply in the day and it completes my day look.
A lot of you have been asking me for a post on good quality Kajals available in the market. It is important to choose one that is of the best quality because the eyes are extremely delicate organs and very vulnerable to infections and damage. Choose your kajal wisely to reduce the chances of infections and allergies.

My list is small, tried and tested by me personally, but I’m sure there are other good brands available in the market as well. Whatever brand you try, remember to test it on yourself. What suits me may not suit you. If you get any kind of allergic reaction such as itchy, watery or puffy eyes, then discontinue whatever you are using and stay off eye makeup of any kind till the symptoms subside.

Here is a list of a few eyeliners and kajals I have tried, tested and been happy with the results:

I use this a lot because I trust this brand for its high quality, luxury products that are simply irresistible. This crayon shaped, easy to use kajal is soft, creamy and has a lovely non-dry texture that helps it glide easily. It is also quite long lasting. You can make either a thin line or a thick line quite easily as this one is flexible enough to give you a very casual or extremely sexy effect. You can even smudge it for a smoky effect.

This is smooth and silky in texture and has non-allergenic ingredients. I’ve been using it for years. It can easily be used to create smoky eyes as the end tip has a tiny sponge attached to it for smudging.

The INNISFREE line of cosmetics is full of natural ingredients. This eye pencil is easy to use, non-smudgy, waterproof, and contains vitamin E and coconut oil. It comes in different shades too.

I picked this one up just 3 weeks ago, and I have to say, it’s worth trying. It is ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested and has a really smooth texture. It also lasts quite long, from anything between 5-8 hours, without getting smudged.

It is an ayurvedic product and contains almond oil and other natural ingredients that are highly beneficial for the eyes. It has a really soft texture. You can apply it in one stroke but, because it is all natural it spreads easily. For the same reason, you cannot do a smoky eye look with this.

This waterproof, non-smudging ophthalmologist tested kajal comes in a slick pencil form. It promises to last up to 22 hours. I love the texture and feel of this one.  It comes in a range of other shades, but I have tried only the black. It is definitely a good buy ladies.
